I would like to preface this story by saying, when I went to Thailand it was one of the most magical countries I’ve ever experienced.
The most beautiful temples, land, abundant agriculture, and such a peaceful place.
I visited many Buddhist temples – and I got on my knees, lit a candle, and asked with all my heart that I be able to help people heal as long as I was able to help.
I asked for prosperity and abundance, to spread love, I asked for clarity in some areas of my life that I was unsure of, and to continue to self-generate happiness for the rest of my life.
Looking back on my entire trip, literally everything I asked for manifested. It is the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me. Read on and you’ll see why.
My Traveling Experience In The Philippines:
It all started when I went to Thailand and the Philippines for 1 month. I know that you have to be careful when going to other parts of the world due to parasites, coming across foods that give way to ‘travelers diarrhea’ or depending on what time of the year you travel.
You have to consider mosquitos that carry illnesses such as Yellow fever, Dengue, Zika, or Malaria. I didn’t want to bring a bunch of my normal supplements, so I just decided to bring:
- Activated Charcoal – in case one of us ate something that gave us food poisoning or had diarrhea. Charcoal absorbs toxins right away.
- Melatonin – for the 12-hour time difference to help me sleep – I didn’t end up needing it.
- Immune support herbs & anti-parasite herbs that I had been testing out on myself.
I traveled with 4 other people,. We spent a week in Bangkok, Thailand & 3 weeks in Ormoc City, Philippines. We also traveled to Oslob, Cebu, Baybay & Palompon.
We resided in Ormoc City with my stepmom’s family, a total of 17 people under one roof!
On July 24th
We were on our last day in Thailand & my stepbrother got sick.
His throat swelled up to the point where it hurt to eat and it was red with white spots as the week progressed he kept getting worse. My stepmom got sick and my boyfriend Giancarlo, also came down with something.
On July 26th we all paid a visit to the doctor as soon as we arrived in the Philippines. The doctor put all 3 of them on antibiotics with anti-inflammatory meds. My dad and I were the only ones that seemed to come out unscathed!
On July 29th
All 17 of us hopped in a van and drove 4 hours to go to this incredibly beautiful beach to watch whale sharks and swim alongside them. On our way back around 9 pm, we stopped at a house party.
We sat outside on their patio eating dinner & I noticed I some wicked mosquito bites on my leg.
The next morning I woke up and I remember thinking how weird it was because they were almost in a perfect round ring around my calf. Itchy as hell. Didn’t think much of it.
On August 1st
My dad came down with a horrible fever and alternating chills. His eyes were glazed over, the whites of his eyes were gray and his head & entire body ached.
His skin was very sensitive to the touch as well as his ear was aching. Giancarlo got better for a time with the antibiotics he had been taking, but then he got worse after the antibiotics were finished.
On August 3rd
Back to the doctor, we went! Giancarlo had a raging fever with difficulty breathing; we were ordered to go to the hospital for an x-ray of his lungs and blood tests.
While we were there at the ER, my dad was also admitted with a high fever, unbearably sore throat, cough and body aches, ear pain and now eye pain. And Gian ended up having pneumonia.
My father ended up having Dengue Fever. This virus can turn fatal because it attacks your body’s platelets, which will cause you to bleed out.
There are 4 strains of the Dengue Virus, and not everybody will die from this if they seek medical attention immediately. My father’s platelets were Lab LOW.
They went down to 115 the first day we got to the hospital, then 113, then 110 on the third day. (You become at risk for the dengue hemorrhagic fever as they continue to near 100 and continue to drop).
At which point, they can only provide blood transfusions as treatment.
We had my stepmom’s family bring in fruit, lots and lots of fruit…because the food that was given to them was not healing.
Watermelon, pears, jackfruit, mangoes galore! And to be honest…I’ve developed a special kind of disdain for rice now. Rice for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks…I just can’t hahaha.
Am I Going To Bleed Out & Die?!:
Just for the hell of it, I decided to get tested for Dengue too….lo and behold, I was positive.
I got bit by the same mosquito carrying Dengue too! I burst into tears, I was so afraid…I had never heard of Dengue before and our doctor basically told us that we could bleed out of every hole in our bodies and then die. (There was also a language barrier so I don’t think he quite explained it correctly).
Luckily, our nurse spoke much better English than the doctor and she told us that she too had gotten Dengue fever when she was a nursing student, and she told us what to expect – and she is perfectly healthy now!
It also occurred to me that, I didn’t develop any symptoms..I had no fever, my platelets didn’t drop…they were at 244, white blood cells were within the normal range (normal functional range too).
..why didn’t anything happen to me?
Upon talking with my amazing aunt who has been a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 20 years she informed me that TCM has herbs that have been used to treat Dengue & Malaria quite nicely FOR CENTURIES.
Sweet wormwood is the main herb used to treat parasites, kills cancer cells, treat anorexia, insomnia, anemia, a lack of appetite, gas, stomach pains, jaundice, indigestion and…….Dengue and Malaria!
I had miraculously brought with me the two supplements that had herbs to treat Dengue as well as preserve my immune system!!
No WONDER I didn’t get sick with anything the entire month I was traveling! I was even near someone contagious with Pneumonia and I didn’t even get that.
I was preparing to announce the release of my supplements (now available in my shop), when I get back to the USA, as an anti-parasite, anti-candida/restorative microbiome duo – and now I can honestly say it’s even more valuable than that.
It’s 100% necessary if you’re going to travel abroad.
Especially if you’re planning on going to tropical countries, traveling in the hotter months where mosquito activity is increased, or countries that consume a lot of pork and fish.
The Aftermath: On August 7th
We were released, but the same day my stepmom’s 6-year-old nephew Jonathan came down with Dengue fever, and then the days following both his parents developed bacterial infections (I reviewed their blood work and it was bacterial, not viral. They also tested negative for Dengue).
My step moms family had the house sprayed for Dengue – but we believe that the three of us ended up getting bit when we went to the house to pick of Jonathan.
The house we went to is situated next to a swampy area. All that stagnant water around is a breeding ground.
The History of Dengue:
Dengue Fever has been around since 265 AD! The first recognized Dengue epidemics occurred almost simultaneously in Asia, Africa, and North America in the 1780s, shortly after the identification and naming of the disease in 1779.
The first confirmed case report dates from 1789 and is by Benjamin Rush, who coined the term “breakbone fever” because of the symptoms of myalgia and arthralgia.
There are 4 different strains of the Dengue Virus and it can only be spread through the bite of a specific mosquito called aedes aegypti.
Dengue remained a relatively minor, geographically restricted disease until the middle of the 20th century.
The disruption of the second world war – in particular the coincidental transport of Aedes mosquitoes around the world in cargo – are thought to have played a crucial role in the dissemination of the viruses.
It was not until 1981 that large numbers of DHF cases began to appear in the Caribbean and Latin America, where highly effective Aedes control programs had been in place until the early 1970s.
Today about 2.5 billion people, or 40% of the world’s population, live in areas where there is a risk of dengue transmission. Dengue is endemic in at least 100 countries in Asia, the Pacific, the Americas, Africa, and the Caribbean.
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 50 to 100 million infections occur yearly, including 500,000 DHF cases and 22,000 deaths.
What Are Symptoms of Dengue:
Symptoms of infection usually begin 4 – 7 days after the mosquito bite and typically last 3 – 10 days.
High fever and at least two of the following:
- Severe headache
- Severe eye pain (behind eyes)
- Joint pain
- Muscle and/or bone pain
- Rash (I did not get a rash but my father got an itchy rash on his arms only and neck)
- Mild bleeding manifestation (e.g., nose or gum bleed, petechiae, or easy bruising)
- Low white cell count < 5.0
- Platelets less than lab value of 150 – and they will continue to make rapid drops.
How It All Ties Together:
I had asked in Thailand to be given the ability to help many people if I am able to help. I asked for abundance and prosperity. I asked for clarification in areas of my life in which I felt unsure.
This entire experience has allowed me to provide a first-hand testimonial to the supplements that I am releasing.
They kept my immune system strong in the face of Dengue Virus, protected me from parasites & candida overgrowth. I haven’t even had jet lag! I am exceedingly grateful and that is why getting bit by a mosquito carrying Dengue was a good thing.
I want to share this with everyone because it works. My long term goal is to eventually be able to export this to The Philippines as an alternative to people who can’t afford going to the hospital.
The nearest herbal supplement store is 3 hours away by BOAT from Ormoc City. I am already talking to people who own generic medicine pharmacies about this being a possibility, and I am truly excited about it.
